Students are encouraged to learn to operate the lab instruments and to critically analyze and interpret the data so that they may perform their own experiments under the supervision of the facility director, Dr. Allen Oliver. Training is provided through a combination of coursework and hands-on training.
Interested students are directed to course CHEM60618: Chemical Crystallography. The course has instruction in both the theory of the experiment and the practical use of the instrumentation and software involved in structural determination. Researchers with prior experience are welcome to utilize the instrumentation, please contact Dr. Oliver for further information.
